Tento článek se zabývá tématem ADHD (porucha pozornosti s hyperaktivitou) u starších osob a před-stavuje různé dimenze tohoto fenoménu ze sociologického hlediska. Naším záměrem je představit a pojmenovat různé oblasti, které se s ADHD u starších osob pojí, jako je například otázka diagnostiky, kdy se příznaky ADHD mohou překrývat s jinými diagnózami nebo s kognitivním poklesem jako tako-vým, což může vést k diagnostické nejistotě pramenící z velké části z nízké informovanosti o tomto jevu. Představíme také problematiku léčby a jejích přínosů a rizik u starších osob nebo otázku gende-ru, která hraje zásadní roli při diagnostice a léčbě a také určuje celkové prožívání života s ADHD. Bu-deme také diskutovat o tom, jak může zejména nediagnostikované a neléčené ADHD určovat životní dráhu člověka, jaké výzvy a důsledky přináší konkrétně pro život seniorů a co může znalost diagnózy a s ní spojená podpora přinést do života lidí. V neposlední řadě se také dotkneme role, kterou může ADHD a zohlednění neurodiverzity obecně hrát v systému poskytování sociálních a zdravotních slu-žeb. Vzhledem k tomu, že se jedná o téma, kterému se v současné době nevěnuje téměř žádná po-zornost, na rozdíl od široké oblasti výzkumu ADHD u dětí a mladých dospělých, bude hlavním cílem tohoto příspěvku vyzvat ke zkoumání povahy, specifik a dopadu ADHD v pozdějších fázích života a u specifické generační skupiny, která svou "diagnózu" teprve začíná objevovat.

This paper deals with the topic of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) in older adults and presents the different dimensions of this phenomenon from a sociological perspective. Our intention is to introduce and name the different areas associated with ADHD in the senior age, such as the is-sue of diagnostics, where ADHD symptoms may overlap with other diagnoses or with cognitive de-cline as such, which may lead to diagnostic uncertainty stemming largely from low awareness of the phenomenon. We will also present the issue of treatment and its benefits and risks in the elderly or the issue of gender, which plays a crucial role in diagnosis and treatment and determines the overall experience of living with ADHD. We will also discuss how undiagnosed and untreated ADHD in par-ticular can determine a person's life trajectory, what challenges and implications it brings specifically to the lives of seniors, and what knowledge of the diagnosis and the associated support can bring to people's lives. Finally, we will also touch on the role that ADHD and consideration of neurodiversity in general can play in the social and health care services system. Given that this is a topic that currently receives little attention, in contrast to the broad field of research on ADHD in children and young adults, the main aim of this paper will be to call for an exploration of the nature, specifics and impact of ADHD in later life and in a specific generational group who are only beginning to discover their 'di-agnosis'.
