In English

There are some difficulties while translating Czech geographical names into Russian. Some translators break the rules of transcribing, orthography and grammar as well. It leads to variants of flexes of the same nominations of the above mentioned language units in the target language. Unfortunately, many mistaken forms of toponyms are among them. It is necessary to follow the existing rules of practical transcribing as well as principles of conveying both the correct gender markers and flexes of the borrowed words, a great part of which belongs to geographical nominations.
