Kapitola popisuje některé tendence, které lze vysledovat ve výuce jazykové zdvořilosti u nerodilých mluvčích češtiny. Vycházíme z předpokladu získaného na základě našich vlastních pedagogických zkušeností, že prezentace zdvořilosti není v běžně používaných učebnicích češtiny pro cizince systematická a že v tomto ohledu je zapotřebí značná iniciativa lektorů. Hypotézu ověřujeme na vybraných učebnicích češtiny pro cizince vydaných v České republice v letech 1995–2021. U každé učebnice pozorujeme jevy podle Společného evropského referenčního rámce pro jazyky klasifikované jako markery sociálních vztahů a zdvořilostních norem a strategií. Mezi markery sociálních vztahů patří pozdravy a rozloučení, small talk, oslovování a tykání a vykání. Z obecných zdvořilostních norem a strategií je to adekvátní přímost komunikace zaměřená na imperativy. Pozorované tendence ilustrujeme příklady z učebnic. Na základě analýzy učebnic formulujeme následující tendence: (1) nerozlišování mezi formálností a neformálností komunikační situace, (2) prezentace zastaralých zdvořilostních forem a (3) prezentace nevhodné zdvořilostní strategie.

The chapter describes some tendencies that can be traced in the teaching of linguistic politeness to non-native speakers of Czech. We start from the assumption, acquired through our own teaching experience, that the presentation of politeness is not systematic in the commonly used Czech textbooks for foreigners and that considerable lecturer initiative is needed in this respect. We prove the hypothesis on selected textbooks of Czech for foreigners published in the Czech Republic from 1995–2021. For each textbook we observe the phenomena according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages classified as markers of social relations and politeness norms and strategies. Among the markers of social relations are greetings and farewells, small talk, addressing, and the use of ty/vy forms. Of the general politeness norms and strategies, it is the adequate directness of communication focusing on imperatives. We illustrate the observed tendencies with examples from textbooks. Based on the analysis of the textbooks, we formulate the following tendencies: (1) failure to distinguish between the formality and informality of the communicative situation, (2) presentation of outdated politeness forms, and (3) presentation of inadequate politeness strategy.
