This simple metadata schema describes the source of the data rather than the data itself, which can be not only a data repository or a research organization, but also, for example, a public administration institution, a website or a commercial panel collecting data from respondents at the request of the client. The scheme therefore also takes into account elements such as the process of obtaining the data, its structure and sensitivity, or licensing arrangements, including the date from which the data can be made public. The schema is inspired by the DataCite and CCMM (Czech Core Metadata Model) schemas and uses the Datatype Registry service to register data types.
