This simple metadata schema describes the source of the data rather than the data itself, which can be not only a data repository or a research organization, but also, for example, a public administration institution, a website or a commercial panel collecting data from respondents at the request of the client. The scheme therefore also takes into account elements such as the process of obtaining the data, its structure and sensitivity, or licensing arrangements, including the date from which the data can be made public. The schema is inspired by the DataCite and CCMM (Czech Core Metadata Model) schemas and uses the Datatype Registry service to register data types.

Toto prosté metadatové schéma spíše než data samotná popisuje zdroj dat, kterým může být nejednom datový repozitář či výzkumná organizace, ale také například instituce veřejné správy, webová stránka či komerční panel sbírající data od respondentů na vyžádání zadavatele. Schéma proto bere v úvahu také takové náležitosti, jako je proces získání dat, jejich strukturu a citlivost či licenční ujednání včetně stanovení termínu, od kterého mohou být data zveřejněna. Schéma je inspirováno schématy DataCite a CCMM (Czech Core Metadata Model) a využívá službu Datatype Registry pro registraci datových typů.
