Abstract
The professional paper entitled "The concept of multidisciplinarity in the system of helping professions in the context of undergraduate education of social worker and special pedagogue" deals with the importance of professional cooperation in the context of helping professions. It thus defines the helping profession in general and then focuses on the profession of social worker and special pedagogue in the context of the helping profession. Legislative and personal preconditions for the performance of the profession of social worker and special pedagogue are defined in the context of the importance of mutual cooperation, in order to support the social integrity of man / individual. Within the framework of Czech legislation, this is a specific feature where a special pedagogue can perform the work of a social worker. The importance of interdisciplinary cooperation with regard to the education of the child / pupil is not neglected. The paper presents quantitative research in the research part, 501 responses from students of the bachelor's degree program in special education in the context of higher education were processed and focused on their attitudes and views not only on the profession as such but also on the importance of university practice and professional identity.
