Předložený text se zaměřuje na problematiku sociálního znevýhodnění u dětí v mateřské škole a upozorňuje na skutečnosti, které přináší praxe a mohou být výzvou v uvědomění si důležitosti sociálního prostředí optikou pedagogických pracovníků. Mateřská škola je většinou první institucí v životě dítěte, jenž má napomoci osamostatňování dítěte, zvládání změny prostředí, akceptaci pedagogické autority a další stěžejní oblasti, které předurčují jeho úspěšný/neúspěšný start v rámci základní školy. Mateřská škola je zde pojata jako instituce, která předurčuje nejen sociální dráhu dítěte.

The presented text focuses on the issue of social disadvantage in children in kindergarten and draws attention to the facts that practice brings and can be a challenge in realizing the importance of the social environment from the perspective of teachers. Kindergarten is usually the first institution in a child's life to help the child become independent, cope with environmental change, acceptance of pedagogical authority and other key areas that determine his/her successful / unsuccessful start in primary school. Kindergarten is conceived here as an institution that determines not only the child's social career.
