The article examines Armenian poetry on the example of the Anthology «Poetry of Armenia from ancient times to the beginning of the ХХ century» edited by Bryusov. The development of literature in Armenia is connected with the adoption of Christianity, Bryusov paid great attention to religious medieval poetry in this collection. The anthology allowed readers to know the main poetic works of Armenian literature, thereby drawing the public's attention to the richness of the Armenian literary heritage
