We examine in the sample of 92 university students the influence of adaptability and other factors (emotional, social, cultural intelligence and individual language skills) on the benefit of university students (GPA). The results obtained using the PLS-SEM technique showed that adaptability is positively correlated with academic performance; Adaptability is also a significant predictor of emotional (EI) and cultural intelligence (CQ). However, our data did not confirm the expected positive direct impact of both of these constructs, incl. social intelligence on student performance. A significant difference in the overall CQ was found between groups of domestic and foreign students. Only for the second group do the language skills influence the students’ benefit. The significance of the results is discussed for HR.

Zkoumáme na vzorku 92 studentů univerzity vliv adaptability a dalších faktorů (emoční, sociální, kulturní inteligence a individuální jazykové dovednosti) ve prospěch studentů univerzity (GPA). Výsledky získané technikou PLS-SEM ukázaly, že adaptabilita pozitivně koreluje s akademickým výkonem; Adaptabilita je také významným prediktorem emoční (EI) a kulturní inteligence (CQ). Naše data však nepotvrdila očekávaný pozitivní přímý dopad obou těchto konstruktů, vč. sociální inteligence o výkonu studentů. Byl zjištěn významný rozdíl v celkovém CQ mezi skupinami domácích a zahraničních studentů. Pouze pro druhou skupinu mají jazykové znalosti vliv na prospěch studentů. Význam výsledků je diskutován pro HR.
