Výuka v rámci odborného vzdělávání dospělých musí být koncipována nejen na základě obsahu předávaných informací, ale také v souladu se způsobem, jakým budou studenti poznatky uplatňovat ve své pracovní činnosti v zaměstnání. Lektor před výukou zohledňuje budoucí kompetence edukovaného a uzpůsobuje tomu vyučovací metodu. Již při plánování výuky je potřeba si uvědomit, nejen co se má student naučit, ale jakým způsobem bude dané učivo aplikovat do praxe, zda je preferované učit se položky nazpaměť nebo spíše rozvinout myšlení, pozornost či jinou mozkovou funkci.

Teaching in adult vocational education must be designed not only on the basis of the content of the information provided, but also in accordance with the way in which students will apply the knowledge in their work activities at work. Before teaching, the lecturer takes into account the future competencies of the educated person and adapts the teaching method accordingly. When planning lessons, it is necessary to realize not only what the student should learn, but how the subject will be applied in practice, whether it is preferred to learn items by heart or rather to develop thinking, attention or other brain function.
