Abstract
Kniha se zabývá teoretickými i praktickými aspekty přijetí eura v České republice. Nejprve analyzuje ve čtyřech kapitolách postup příprav na zavedení eura, včetně předpokladů z hlediska ekonomické teorie a z hlediska synchronizace hospodářských cyklů. Samostatná kapitola je věnována názorům mezinárodního měnového fondu. Další tři kapitoly jsou věnovány finančnímu sektoru (integrace finančních trhů, vstup do SEPA a dopady na centrální banku). Poslední tři kapitoly analyzují přínosy a náklady zavedení eura (vliv na zahraniční obchod, dopady do platební bilance a dopady odkladu zavedení eura).
Abstract (in English)
The book deals with theoretical and practical aspects of the euro´s adoption of in the Czech Republic. First, it analyzes in four chapters the process of preparations for the introduction of the euro, including assumptions in terms of economic theory and in terms of synchronization of business cycles. A separate chapter is devoted to the views of the International Monetary Fund. The next three chapters are devoted to the financial sector (integration of financial markets, entry into SEPA and impacts on the central bank). The last three chapters analyze the benefits and costs of the euro´s introduction (impact on foreign trade, effects on the balance of payments and effects of the postponement of the euro´s introduction).
