The chapter covers the treatment of inmates at the Secure Detention Unit in Brno, where they are placed for particularly serious crimes committed as a result of their diagnosed mental illnesses. A part of the paper includes a case study with a “happy ending” in the case of the first child raised of the institute, Míša.
