Monografie se zabývá problematikou volného času seniorů. Definuje základní terminologické pojmy – volný čas a senior. Popisuje teoretická východiska, která predikují volnočasové chování a mají přímý vztah s realizovanými aktivitami u seniorů. V teoretické i praktické rovině klade důraz na pedagogické aspekty volného času seniorů. Hlavním přínosem je především teoretické ukotvení problematiky volného času seniorů.

The monograph deals with the leisure time of senior citizens. It defines basic terms – Leisure time and senior citizen. It describes the theoretical background, which predict leisure behavior and have a direct relationship with the realized activities fot the senior citizens. The theoretical and practical emphasis on the pedagogical aspects of the leisure time of senior citizens. The main contribution is primarily theoretical anchoring issue of the leisure time of senior citizens.
