Studie byla zaměřená na problematiku zátěže laických pečovatelů v komunitní péči. Cíl: Cílem šetření bylo zmapovat nejvýznamnější zdroje zátěže laických pečovatelů pečujících o seniory s depresí v domácím prostředí. Metody: Sběr dat byl realizován formou nestrukturovaných individuálních rozhovorů, kdy laičtí pečovatelé volně hovořili na téma ošetřování nemocného seniora s depresí. Výsledky: Analýzou a kategorizací individuálních rozhovorů byly vydefinovány jako nejvýznamnější zdroje zátěže nedostatek času a psychická zátěž. Závěr: Z výsledků našeho šetření vyplývá potřeba systematického a komplexního monitoringu zátěže laických pečovatelů pečujících o nemocné s depresí a eliminaci důsledků zátěže vyplývající z pečování o tuto skupinu seniorů.

This study concerned the problem of non-professional carers in community care. Objective: The aim of the study was to describe the most significant sources of burden of non-professional caregivers of seniors with depression in the home environment. Methods: Data were collected in the form of unstructured individual interviews, where non-professional carers spoke freely about care of the seniors with depression. Results: Through analysis and categorization of individual interviews, we defined lack of time and psychological stress as the most significant sources of burden. Conclusion: The results of our survey show the need for systematic and comprehensive monitoring of the burden of non-professional caregivers of patients with depression and for elimination of the consequences of the burden of carers of this group of seniors.
