Cíl: Cílem průzkumného šetření bylo zhodnotit kvalitu života u dětí s onemocněním astma bronchiale. Metodika: Kvalita života byla hodnocená prostřednictvím standardizovaného dotazníku Paediatric Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire (Juniper, 1996, s. 35-46). Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 64 dětí (20 dívek, 44 chlapců) ve věku 7-17 let (modus 14, medián 14) s onemocněním astma bronchiale dispenzarizovaných v alergologických a imunologických ordinacích pro děti a dorost. Výsledky: Celkové skóre dotazníku Paediatric Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire (Juniper, 1996, s. 35-46) bylo 5,05±0,33, což představuje dobrou kvalitu života z pohledu dětí s astma bronchiale. Kvalitu života významně snižuje astmatický záchvat. Závěr: Využíváním hodnotících nástrojů pro hodnocení kvality života je možné posoudit závažný dopad onemocnění na každodenní život dítěte. Cílem komplexní léčby je remise onemocnění astma bronchiale a tím vytvoření předpokladů pro zvýšení kvality života dítěte.

Objective: The aim of this research was to assess the quality of life in children with disease bronchial asthma. Methods: The quality of life has been assessed with using a standardized questionnaire the Paediatric Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire (Juniper, 1996, pp. 35-46). The research sample was consisted of 64 children (20 girls, 44 boys) 7-17 years old (modus 14, median 14) with the illness bronchial asthma treated in an outpatient allergy and immunology clinic for children and adolescents. Results: Total score of Paediatric Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire (5.05±0.33) indicates that children with asthma represent good quality of life. The last asthma attack significantly influences the quality of life in children with bronchial asthma. Conclusion: he use of assessment tools to evaluate the quality of life it is possible to identify a significant impact of the disease on the everyday lives of child. The aim of comprehensive management of asthma therapy is to achieve the most optimal level of asthma control and thus to establish conditions for higher quality of life of the child.
