Publikace přináší výklad o právu EU s reflexí změn, které proběhly na základě implementace Lisabonské smlouvy během prvních tří let její účinnosti. Text je v první části zaměřen na prvky a principy fungování práva EU, vztah k národnímu právu a aplikaci členskými státy v národním právním prostředí, představení institucionální struktury EU včetně pravomocí jednotlivých orgánů a jejich vzájemných vztahů. V druhé části text představuje vybrané oblasti materiálního práva EU, reflexi aktuálních změn v těchto oblastech a naznačení jejich nejbližšího předpokládaného vývoje.

The book reflects the EU Law after the first three years of the implementation of the Lisbon Treaty. The first part of the book explains the nature of EU Law, principles of its functioning, relation to the national law of Members States. It presents the institutional structure of the EU, outlines the competences of EU institutions and their relations. The second part of the book presents selected areas of EU Law regulation, reflecting the current and expected developments in these areas.
