Příspěvek definuje postmoderní ztrátu smyslu pro životní ideál jakožto psychický problém u současné evropské populace, která se dostává do stavu noogenní neurózy. Dále se text na pozadí filosofických východisek moderny a postmoderny zamýšlí nad současnou krizí teorie výchovy, která s absencí smyslu života bezprostředně souvisí.

Contribution deals with postmodern failure in finding meaning of life as important problem of European population that can be developed into a kind of noogenic neurosis. Based on the philosophy of modernity and postmodernity the contribution investigates contemporary crisis of education influenced by crisis of existence.
