Příspěvek přináší zamyšlení nad principy morality v moderní společnosti. Osvícenecká společnost, poučená krvavou nesnášenlivostí nábožensky se orientujících etik, se v období moderny započala rychle sekularizovat. Z této sekulární a následně i naturalistické pozice pak moderní západní svět nahlíží nejenom moralitu, ale také tvoří a odůvodňuje své právní normy. Tento příspěvek nechce kritizovat etická východiska a principy morality v současné západní společnosti. Příspěvek chce poukázat na náročnost, kterou důsledné přijetí těchto obecně proklamovaných moderních etických východisek přináší.

The paper presents the reflection on the principles of morality in modern society. Enlightened society, enlightened bloody intolerance religiously orientated ethics, in the period of modernism began rapidly secularize. From this secular and subsequently naturalistic position then the modern Western world is perceived not only morality but also creates and justifies its legal norms. This paper does not want to criticize the ethical bases and principles of morality in contemporary Western society. The paper is to point out the effort for consistent adoption of these general proclaimed the modern ethical foundations brings.
