V tomto článku se zabýváme otázkou, proč zavádíme absolutní entity do našich koncepcí, když tyto entity nemají žádný empirický korelát. Tvrdíme, že jsou de facto nutnou kognitivní výbavou, která nám umožňuje usouvztažňovat reálné události či procesy našeho světa. Jako případovou studiu na dané téma jsme zvolili Augustinovy spekulace o podstatě času z jeho XI. knihy Vyznání.

In this article we are claiming that absolute entities (like space or time) in our theories working as perfect tools for conforming and adjusting all possible entities between themselves. These absolute entities are in fact general cognitive models which are neccesary for our understanding of ambient world. As a case study proving our hypothesis we chose famous Augustine's theory of time in his XI. book of Confessiones.
