/strong\> se snaží čtenáři poskytnout všechny potřebné informace k základní orientaci v tomto dynamicky se rozvíjejícím oboru. Publikace je určena jednak studentům předmětu PřF:Z0005 Biogeografie, který je vyučován na Geografickém ústavu Masarykovy univerzity, ale i všem ostatním zájemcům o tuto disciplínu na pomezí biologie a geografie. Druhé vydání rozšiřuje původní interaktivní studijní pomůcku Biogeografie o nová témata jako např. geografie biodiverzity, historická biogeografie, biogeografie v ochraně přírody aj. Součástí publikace i nadále zůstávají tři biogeografické atlasy vybraných druhů rostlin, živočichů a společenstev České republiky. Toto nové vydání vzniklo v rámci projektu OP VK Inovace výuky geografických studijních oborů (CZ.1.07/2.2.00/15.0222), který je spolufinancován Evropským sociálním fondem a státním rozpočtem České republiky.

The second edition of the Biogeography online textbook attempts to provide all information for basic orientation in this dynamically developing scientific discipline. This electronic handbook is intended for students of the course PřF:Z0005 Biogeografie, which is taught at Department of Geography of Masaryk University, as well as for all other readers who are interested in the discipline between biology and geography. The second edition the Biogeography handbook introduces new topics such as geography of biodiversity, historical biogeography, biogeography and nature conservation and others. Three biogeographic atlases from the previous edition still take an important part in the second edition. The second edition of this handbook was financially supported by the OP VK project Innovation of the Geographical Study Fields (CZ.1.07/2.2.00/15.0222) which is funded by the European Social Fund and by the national budged of the Czech Republic.
