V kapitole "Obsah a forma - vybrané aspekty proměny českých deníků" se upozorňuje na to, že vydavatelé se snaží snížit pokles prodeje a dopad konkurence digitálních a online médií zaváděním změn ve formě a obsahu novin. Dávají přednost tématům, která zvyšují prodej. Existence sesterských zpravodajských webů také ovlivňuje obsah českých deníků. Pokud jde o formu, hlavním trendem je vizualizace. Fotografie a tituly se zvětšují, stránky jsou uspořádány lépe, a grafické prvky zvyšují orientaci čtenářů. Rozvoj publikačních a komunikačních technologií přináší nové možnosti distribuce - například všechny české noviny nabízejí stahovatelný obsah do mobilních zařízení.

The chapter “The Content and the Form – Selected Aspects of Czech Dailies Transformation” points out that publishers try to reduce the decrease in circulation and impacts of the digital and online media competition by introducing changes into design and content of the newspapers. They prefer topics that increase sales. The existence of sister news webs also influence the content of Czech dailies. As far as the form is concerned, the main trend is visualization. Pictures and titles have grown bigger, the layout is arranged better, and graphical features enhancing readers’ orientation appear. The development of communication technologies is important – for example, all newspapers of the Czech quality press offer downloadable content.
