Abstract

In the original language

Plant phenotyping is essential for obtaining detailed parameters of overall plant performance. In stress-related research, it provides markers for the sensitive assessment of early-stage impacts. Combining various phenotyping methods offers a comprehensive view of plant development. Developed by PSI, the PlantScreen™ Compact System facilitates high-precision root and shoot phenotyping for small to mid-size plants. It integrates high-resolution morphological imaging with induced chlorophyll fluorescence to evaluate photosynthetic health. Crucially, the system allows for root growth in soil under conditions that mimic the field while maintaining precise environmental control.
